RUTH KNIGHT, ERYT500
Ruth's interest in therapeutic yoga is inspired by her early training with Mukunda Stiles (Structural Yoga Therapy), Gary Kraftsow (American Viniyoga Association), Mark Whitwell, and A.G. Mohan and Indra Mohan (Svastha Yoga and Ayurveda). Her 30-plus years of meditation and asana practice have opened in her a deep appreciation for each person, their needs, and potential. She is director of TMC’s yoga teacher training, and one of the training program’s faculty members.
Ruth specializes in the release of stressful breathing patterns accompanying anxiety and depression, and in assisting those with chronic respiratory issues such as COPD to maximize their available breath capacity. She is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
My E-RYT500 status is granted by Yoga Alliance based on my training, study, practice, and teaching in yoga programs established prior to the existence of Yoga Alliance. Any therapeutic components of my group and individual yoga instruction are based on my independent study and practical experience and are not derived from my status as an E-RYT with Yoga Alliance Registry.
