For your listening pleasure: Trio Musicorum Medicorum presents a post-Thanksgiving concert on Friday, November 24th, at 7pm.
The performance will feature:
F.J. Haydn: Trio in C, Hoboken XV:27 (1797)
I. Allegro
II. Andante
III. Presto
A delightful and charming work with a dazzling piano part featuring numerous cadenzas.
J. Brahms: Trio in B, Op.8
I. Allegro con brio
II. Scherzo
III. Adagio
IV. Allegro
This is perhaps Brahms' most famous and enduring piano trio. Don't let the early Op.8 listing fool you. It is a luscious, dramatic and fully romantic work whose initial form was written early and later revised in Brahms' maturity (yet retaining the early Op.8 listing).
The concert takes place in the ashram living room. All are welcome. No charge.
